Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO9533) affecting of B1105 Barsham Road from its junction with B1105 Wells Road to its junction with A148 Fakenham Bypass (the “Road”) in the  Parish of Sculthorpe to facilitate surface dressing, stud removal and lining works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 18th May to 26th June 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 26th December 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

 

NB: These works will be carried out in 3 phases. Phase 1 is between 19:00 and 05:00 from 18th to 21stMay and will take place for 2 nights within these dates. Phase 2 is between 19:00 and 05:00 from 28thto 31st May. Phase 3 is between 19:00 and 05:00 from 23rd to 26th June.

 

Alternative route is via: Wells Road, Walsingham Road, Grove Road, Barsham Road, Green Way, Fakenham Road, Two Furlong Hill, Mill Road, Main Road, Tower Road, Bellamys Lane, North Street, Ulph Place, Creake Road, Burnham Road, Church Street, Front Street, The Green, Waterden Lane, The Common, Burnham Market Road, Roundabout Leading To Fakenham Bypass, Fakenham Bypass (South Creake, Burnham Norton, Holkham, Wells-Next-the-Sea, Fakenham, Wighton, Burnham Market, Barsham, North Creake, Walsingham, Burnham Overy, Sculthorpe, Burnham Thorpe).

 

The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Norfolk County Council.   

 

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

 

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 26th December 2025 without further notice.

 

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

 

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

 

 

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

 

 

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
